Rob Akershoek is senior IT management consultant at Fruition Partners and chair of the IT4IT Forum within The Open Group.
For over 20 years he has been involved in improving IT organizations by designing, implementing and automating IT management processes. He helps to transform IT organizations to become a more lean and agile service provider, ready to manage the new digital ecosystem consisting of a hybrid cloud environment provided by a multi-vendor sourcing landscape. He is architecting the new IT organization combing new practices and concepts such as Agile development, DevOps and Continuous Delivery with the more traditional service and project management methodologies (ITIL and Prince2/PMBok). He also helps IT organizations to leverage IT management technologies for example using more advanced service portals, self-service, artificial intelligence, ChatOps, Operational data analytics, cloud orchestration and automating end-to-end IT processes. He has a broad range of experience in implementing IT management capabilities combing ITIL, SCRUM, PMBOK and many others into a new IT operating model.
